Time vs Choice Management
Today we’ll be talking about time management versus choice management. I discussed this topic this weekend with my Incubator program students during our retreat.
One of the biggest struggles I have had since my daughter was born has been with time management. It’s never been something that I’ve been great at, but I used to have more available time in the day which allowed me to compensate for a less than perfect time management habit. I’ve had to become more direct and purposeful with my time since she was born, leading towards choice vs time management. Stop saying to yourselves that you don’t have the time to do something. We can always make the time for something that we see as important or we want to do, or realize that we just don’t have the time or resources to get it done now, and that is choice management.
Define your non-negotiables. Do work that energizes you. Work with people that you enjoy working with (staff and clients).The climb must be worth the view! Meaning, the reward needs to be worth your time and energy. Your work week and timetable are 100% controlled by you. Listen to this week’s episode to learn more!
